Tomorrow is the big day!

Sorry, not really all that exciting. I have an order of live anoles coming, and will try those on my alterna hatchlings. They are 4 weeks old and still none have eaten. I have tried scented with anoles, brained washed, waterboarded. I even tried newborn deer mice (I have a small colony for my rubber boas.)

So wish me luck with the anoles. They will be very tiny, just right for these little guys!

This may sound weird but it worked for me when I had a clutch of children pythons. Some seamed to want lizards. So this is what I did. I took the pinkie mouse and made a cut from the neck to the stomach and the went at it like no tomorrow. That's one that worked for me. just thought I would throw that out there. Good Luck with them.

I order from Manny Hernandez, for $1 each. With shipping it still comes out to less than $2 each, way better than PetSmart.

This is not a regular thing, so it will be worth the cost if I can get these guys eating.

I love ding dongs! Its been a while since I had one though!

We'll be rooting for you...Try feeding evening time, I have better feeders after sun goes down.
And don't despair, if any still dont eat after a few more weeks you can always brumate. Heard that usually works...
Might help if you disturb environment as little as possible so babies can encounter food as they move on their own...just my thoughts...Dave.

The anoles will probably work. You might try putting each thayeri baby in a separate little cage and put the anole in with it, and let the baby catch the anole.

Four of my six baby pyros have eaten whole pinkies on their own. Two are being stubborn and have only eaten a piece of pinky hand fed. My lizard hatch is due late August; if all else fails I will at least have live fence lizards for the stubborn ones. (The forth pyro with the kinked tail died without ever eating anything. Birth defects) I have baby bull snakes due to hatch any day now and those have got to be easier than these little king snakes! LOL!

Kent I got many to eat by tease feeding them when I last bred them. This time when I get some I'm gonna try skink scent! My corns seem to go for that much better than Anoles.

>> I have an order of live anoles coming

freeze 'em, chop 'em up in a blender (add water as desired) and pour the resulting slurry into plastic molds for making small ice cubes. Then when you want to scent in the future, you go to the frig, take out one small cube, and use it to scent any number of rodents. I used to do that with skinks and sceloporus.
