I bred a female mojave to both mojave and lesser. Pictured is the clutch of six hatchlings, three lucys and .....

three mojaves?.... or do you think there is one lesser there?
Two lucys have tan heads and one lucy is pure white.

This is exactly why I question using multiple males, especially within the same complex!

Looks like 2 mojaves and one lesser.
lesser being on the right?

ssnakes Aug 03, 2011 11:10 AM

I see what you mean with the multiple males. I think the hatchling at top right is a lesser and I think the whiter lucy was fathered by the lesser male. Doesn't the mojave - lesser pairing produce the whitest lucys?

Everything you stated is accurate, no question mark needed. Cheers

why I don't, and won't cross mojave or lesser to each other at all...I own no butters...same reason...not enough room for them, ended up buying a lesser first cheap so never got butters......I am keeping all lines pure...otherwise it's a guessing game ....unless you just give them their own name ?...

I like the super mojos better...colored up more than white...I got some ready in a week to hatch...praying for a few spider supers mojos......and I hope they are soooo colored ....LOL

...good luck.......from the pic ....I can't tell.....

From the pic looks pretty obvious....far top right is lesser,
other two are mojos,
purple head ones are super mojos, pure white is a mojo x leser

Depends how you see it.

I don't have butter, if I had, I would probably call them lesser any way cause they are the same and look the same.

I have produced bel from mojave x lesser. But theses will only be bred back to combos that don't have either of it. If you breed it to a pin, you can produce jigsaw and kingpin, so it's more interresting.
But I wouldn't breed it to anything with mojave or lesser in it. At least not lesser, since you wouldn't know if you got super lesser or mojave lesser bel. You could probably tell if there was a super mojave, but it's not always that easy.

This is my first clutch mixing the lesser and mojo and it was pretty clear to me what was there....just needed some clarification from others with experience. So now I don't think it is such a puzzle, it's pretty obvious who's who in this group. Not SO confusing and I would definitely do it again!

Tim_M Aug 03, 2011 04:05 PM

The 2 on the top left are Mojaves. The one on the top right is most definitely a Lesser. As for the Lucy's i can't be of help.

Herp_Herp_Hooray Aug 03, 2011 04:11 PM

We haven't produced any lucys yet... But it looks like 2 mojos, 1 lesser, 2 super mojos and if the third ones head is all white... You have a super lesser. Cool clutch if you ask me... Congrats.

Top right = Lesser, two on left = Mojo's...the Lucy's should be easy to tell once they shed and grow a little...

jsschrei Aug 03, 2011 05:40 PM

I think the one on the right is a lesser.

Nice BELs! Congrats on the clutch

THANKS to Everyone! You all pretty much confirmed what I thought. I am happy with the clutch, very happy!!

Up until this clutch hatched I was having the "bad odds" year.
This clutch made the year better and if the two remaining clutches are as good as I hope they will be....it will be a
great year!

Thanks and hope you all are having a good year too!

SMART money is to send me all three white snakes, I'll breed 'em to normals and figure out what they are while you kick around with the other stuff... See you in two weeks!
