WOW!
Since they were babies, I guess they didn't have a chance to bond over Zwieback cookies, Spaghetti-Os, and apple juice.
And don't worry Shannon, this WAS your fault!!! Your conditions were not where they needed to be. ( Kindergarten rhetoric being made fun of by sarcasm of course..) LOL!!!!
Very sad but fascinating, showing clearly that kingsnakes are kingsnakes.
I wonder if that albino is gonna puke up that snake???

LOL, yeah it was my fault for sure.
I sure hope it doesn't puke it up buy that will stink.
L8r
That would stink to high heaven!! I guess you will know if it does puke by when you first enter the room....LOL!!!!

Once they shed anything is fair game. The striking they do when movement is aorund the cage and the smell of mice in the air will cause a pair of neonates to go into stike mode.
of cousre this is not the case with bonded adults. That is why i wait until they get past the nasty striking stage. I wait until they are on adult mice (usually 20"
before bonding them in winter.

WE ARE LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND IT'S TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME, FOR THE MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING!!!
Fighting out of the red corner...a man loathed my many, but envied by most; a real pioneer in the art of "cannibalistic snake bonding".....Somewhere, Georgia - RAINER "BONDO-KING -DON'T MESS WITH FRANK ALL YOU SIMPLE MINDED IGNORANT NEWBIES" WEISHAUPLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Fighting out of the red corner.......a man that fancies himself a professor of literature; a scholar of ideology... who is always ready for "The Next"....Somewhere, USA - BILLY "THE TRUTH AND IT REALLY IS JUST THIS SIMPLE AND YOU'RE IMMATURE AND INSECURE" DISCERNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets have a good, clean fight guys. Fight's based on a 10 point scoring system...5 rounds.

I need to clarify something, everyone.
Billy..... will be fighting out of the BLUE corner. Not the red.
Rainer, is fighting out of the red corner...and Billy, the blue.
Every one knows you can't have two people fighting out of the same colored corner. One gets blue, the other gets red. Just wanted to make that clear. It was a typo. Sorry. My bad. My mistake. Sorry. Carry on. As you were. Enjoy the fights.
LOL!

Well, at least you wont have any trouble getting that albino to eat! If it survives such a huge meal, of course. It looks transparent, what with the other darker hatchling inside of it. Getula are supposed to be bad on this cannibalizing thing, from what I have been told.

"You come out of this egg, your ass is mine!"
Not really, just a little pyro taking a rest on a bull snake egg after hatching.

YEP! If they are not bonded. And that is where the contention comes in.
You see lots of people here don't beleive bonding works. So they belittle others who have posted what they are doing here. Yet they never never ever tried it themselves. That's right. Not one of them has tried it! Amazing isn't it? To be giving advice on something they know nothing about.
Anytime you put two kings together they can eat each other,,,,, IF THEY ARE NOT BONDED. ..'OR' You don't do the bonding process properly.
kingsnakes can eat each other during breeding season or whenever. Except for bonded kings. By bonding them, that takes the stress off the keeper and the worries they have of moving their snakes around and always missing ovulation. All the problems they have with cannibalism could be solved, removed!~~~. But they rather be boneheads and Ding dongs. They think that snakes can't bond because they put them togethetr to breed and once they ate each other. Well guess what,, They didn't bond for them..well duh! I guess they will never be open to reading any of these posts and following the proper bonding processes..So they would prefer to shoot down something so easy to follow and do themselves, yet not try it even once.. So it becomes a kind of harassment of sorts for people like me who live with the bonded snakes every day. I see them eat together and brumate together and breed together year after year, day after day, hour after hour, LOL!!! Day after day LOL! And i have LOTS of them mean old snake eaters (Florida kimgs) in my collection. So I gues my snakes are just special. Then I come on this forum and i am told it is not possible and i am a liar etc.
So what you "HEARD"...consider the source.

Well, some time ago you and I had a long conversation like last year I think? over cohabitation. So I tried it with my 08 pyros in a trio and my 09 female pyros and the other 08 male in another trio. The results are that I now have six nice baby pyros, which I don't think I might have got had I not put my trios together last fall and brumated them together. The trio with the 09 females was reduced to just a duo, as one of the females was really too small to be with her big sibling and the male. She didn't seem comfortable with them and would not hang out with them.
So I think it is possible to house kings together but it has to be done right; same size snakes, put them together in the late fall, don't over crowd them, feed them generously. At least with pyros, not sure about some of the other types of kings. I might be leery of trying cohabitation with other types like Calis and Floridas...
I enjoy having the trios and pairs in big cages with lots of places to hang out in. If they want to all coil up together they can, or each can choose a separate spot.
I don't feed my snakes together, though. They are accustomed to being fed in separate containers. then I know how much each one ate, and I can keep adding food items to the feeding jar until they are satisfied.
So I try to keep an open mind on this and other controversial topics. Do some research first, and if it looks feasible give it a shot.

How the one trio got reduced to a duo is I removed the smaller female; she was not eaten! LOL!

Yep, I have had it happen a couple times over the 20 or so years of hatching.I have even had it happen with corns.
One inside the other, inside the other.LOL.....then death!

And I thought only kings were snake eaters......J/K.....many baby colubrids will consume their siblings.....Not just kings......

Poor planning and procrastination on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

Wow, that is the weirdest thing concerning snakes I have ever seen! Am saving that photo to my hard drive!
When my pyros hatched I removed each one as it completed hatching, which was easy as they each hatched on a different day. Even if I had left them in the incubator they were so full of yolk I don't think they would have eaten each other. That is my sole experience with snakes hatching. Waiting on bull snake eggs...

Oh wow, that looks pretty crazy.
It does make for an interesting picture. Is that albino from clutch where all the others were normal color from the albino parents? If so that's a clutch you'll talk about for a long time.
