Kennerlyi

nearhoofm Aug 04, 2011 02:23 AM

I produced my first Kennerlyi and so far only 2 have ate pinks a week out of the egg for two weeks straight and the rest have refused. I have tried tuna juice but no luck. I am looking for suggestions on how to get them to eat. I haven't tried a toad scented pink yet and was wondering what works best for those that produce these on a regular basis.

Thanks for any help,
Mike

The best scent I've found is cricket frog.

Try braining the pinks, that has worked for me in the past with both kennerlyi and tricolors.

Some of my hatchlings did not eat until I scented the pinks with green tree frog... I generally do not bother with hit or miss methods like fish scenting because I know frog scent will work much better...

Thanks for the replies. I have tried the split brains as this is the first thing I usually try. I guess its time to look for a toad.
