Here is a nice female Lampalagua boa (AKA - Argentine boas) with black silvery gold contrast. Another favorite..... 8 footer...

Thanks for looking!

Orlando: That is a spectacular female. I have never heard the term LAMPALAGUA before. Is this a region, or perhaps a name used by the locals where occidentalis is found? Curious. Thank you.

Daniel.
Lampalagua boas is the common name use by Argentine locals for the Argentine boas (Boa c. occidentalis). I am providing an interesting manuscript for this particular species (see your email). Also during my academic endeavor (Master's of Science degree) one of my committee members was born and race in Argentina. It was interesting to find out that many if not all locals use the term Lampalagua rather than Argentine boa.

The manuscript is entitled Intrapopulation variation in life history traits
of Boa constrictor occidentalis in Argentina. I have a collection of manuscript for this particular species and I thought this one in particular was interesting.

Take care!
