A Couple Melanistic Lineage Thayeri.....

Jlassiter Aug 08, 2011 03:08 AM

These two guys have been pounding down pinkies already......
Looking good too......
The sire is an intermediate male that has a melanistic parent.
The dam is a rose/orange leonis with solid black ventral scales.

Wow, that last one is absolutely gorgeous! I like how the red fades out in the center, it really adds to the overall beauty of the snake.

Now that is a trick question......lol
I tried offering before shed with this clutch but had no luck......after shed I offered f/t pinks and had only one taker.......then I brained those pinks and all 5 ate.......every time the pass feces I feed again.......they now have 6 meals in them........about every 2nd to 3rd day they are ready to eat again........

That's THIS clutch........lol
I do have a couple stubborn clutches as well......but they are coming around slowly, but surely.......it's all about temps and humidity........especially at this age.........

Thanks. I have a couple that ate their first meals on Saturday (pinkie heads). I'm very anxious to get them established.
