A menagerie of odds-and-ends

zonatahunt Aug 08, 2011 01:20 PM

As I prepared to feed everyone yesterday, my razor-sharp procrastination skills took over and I had a little photo shoot. With no particular goal in sight I just took photos of a little of everything. I'll throw in a few non-kings here just to keep you guys on your toes, and to see if you're allergic to non-kings! Haha.

First off, here's a young male holdback het-whitehead from last year.

Here's his little sister from the same clutch, once again het-whitehead

One of my recently hatched generic 50/50's. I still love 'em. All the males were high-white, while the females were less-so.

Gack! What the hell is this thing?! Thought I'd throw in an ugly hypo bairdi! He pissed himself...

One of my favorite kings, a black-phase mex-mex from Ryan Hoyer.

My black-and-white male zonata. I'm going to make a separate post with his hatchling pic and this one, so you all can see the ontogenetic changes that occur with this line.

How about some honey! One of my favorite honey corn snakes.

A close cousin of the kingsnake, the Black Gap celaenops.

Lastly, I'll finish up with this extremely high triad-count coast zonata.

Thanks for looking.

Mitch

Yeah...not too crazy about those other, non-kings haha! Just kidding, as that ratsnake was pretty sweet.

That last high band count Z is a screamer. Its all about the highbanded coast animals!

Poor planning and procrastination on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

No slouches there. Even that corn is special.

Nicely done series of photos. I don't think that little scrawny one is ugly; he is sort of cute!
