boa rubbing head on bottom of terrarium

gzaustin Aug 09, 2011 12:05 PM

I got my first boa about 6 days ago and she's been chilling just fine in her new place, a bit nippy, but that's beside the point. I went to feed her today for the first time and she took the mouse fine. Now she keeps rubbing her head on the bottom and side of the terrarium is this normal? I have a ball python I've had for a while and she's never done anything like this. I could be overreacting but it's better to be safe than sorry I guess.

Sounds like he is just straitening things up after the feed

do you know when the last time she shed was? Is there any injury that you can see in this area? If temps and humidity are good I would just observe. If she ate she isn't to stressed, just let her relax for a time and get use to everything. Oh and pics are a must, lol!!!!
