Hooding pictures

Rextiles Aug 09, 2011 07:38 PM

Since we were talking about hooding in a previous thread, I thought I should try and take some pictures of one of my few consistent hooders. Funny enough, she hoods pretty much all the time when she's in her tub but totally calms down once in my hands. Here's Twix:

Thanks Jeremy! You have a great memory as I believe it's been about 2 years since I last mentioned my Double Het project. Yes, I still have all that I've produced over the last 2 years, including that male that has no head pattern whom we call Baldy, and they are all doing splendidly. I don't have any recent pictures of him, but here's one of his sisters who is pretty much the same coloration but still has the head markings:

Thanks a lot Mike! Yeah, I'll never get tired of getting hooded and hissed at. I actually wish more of my hoggies did this but actually, most are pretty laid back with the exception of feeding day of course, then all bets are off and fingers are sometimes part of the menu. I'd love to see pics of your albino hooding, none of my albinos even come close to getting worked up enough to hood, but most of my Anacondas and of course Twix, our Superconda, always have very feisty attitudes. It must be in the genes! :D

Thanks Stefan!

Very very few of our hogs will hood. Out of the 80 hognose we have in our collection, only about 4-5 will hood like that and only 2 on a regular basis, Twix being the biggest showoff.

As always, beautiful Toffee you have there!
