seriously, John....I'm a herper and all that but to see a jaguar in habitat would beat the hell outta seing many many reptiles...and better than seeing a cheetah too....
but I s'pose if I'm dreaming, I might as well wish to see a big ol' bushmaster while I'm at it, huh?

I agree with you Mark......We don't have many Jaguars left in NA.......It would be killer to see one in situ....
I have had the luxury of seeing two different wild cats in the wild.....An Ocelot (Rockport, TX) and a Mountain Lion (Johnson City, TX)....And when I was a young child I swore I saw a BIG Black cat across our pond on the bank.....My father said it may have been a Black Jaguarundi......But I was around 6 or so at the time......I called it a Panther....LOL

And lots of Bobcats but they are everywhere.....LOL

These animals live in nature, without you. They know when to eat, when not to eat, how much to eat, etc. Why do you think they cannot do that in captivity? They do know, you are suppose to support what THEY DO, not hold back food because you keep them at temps they would not pick.

The Sire is a Vivid Reptile Yellow Leonis with a cool Skull pattern on his head...I call him 4EYES...

The female is an orange Leonis from Vivid's Wild line....She is an F1.

I see how these parents could produce that baby; none the less, that baby is really unusual! People who don't know the lineage may even think it is a hybrid. I have seen photos of hybrids that have that cheetah or leopard pattern and this little baby looks sort of like that. Please don't feel insulted! I know how you feel about hybrids!

Not insulted at all.....I have SOLID lineage on all my animals.....

This is the same animal that FR stated that it looked like some he has seen in the field......We'll see how it ages.......It may turn buckskin/tan as an adult with the gray ontogenetic speckling....

It isn't that unusual though...I've seen thousands upon thousands of thayeri......Orange thayeri are VERY common as well as hallow saddles....This time it just happened on the same animal.....
