I don't know why. But for some reason i like the first pic of the one with more dark brown. Do you have any adult pics of what an adult version would look like? ...or at least one close to it?

These animals live in nature, without you. They know when to eat, when not to eat, how much to eat, etc. Why do you think they cannot do that in captivity? They do know, you are suppose to support what THEY DO, not hold back food because you keep them at temps they would not pick.

That one pictured is over a year old now....she is over 20 inches......I don't have any normals besides her and her sibling brother....Both are double het for snow and possible het for ghost.........The others I have are Amel, Axanthic and Hypo....
I used to work with 5 different South Texas locales.......
Here's an old picture of a good old fashioned Nueces Co., TX specimen with the brown coloration.....Some we found around here I'd swear would be called "hypo"......
It doesn't have the fancy "perfect" pattern like the Far West Texas specimens or the Arizona/New Mexico Specimens.......

Splendid, indeed. I like how clean the 1st and last are. Keep up the pretty great work and never give up trying to do stuff. LOL!
I'm not a big fan of Splendidas but those are different. Good luck with them.

Keeping cats allows man to cohabitate with tigers. Keeping reptiles allows man to cohabitate with dinosaurs.
