White-sided "Stillwater" Hypo Bull Snake

JonelLopez Aug 16, 2011 12:13 AM

Hey everyone

Just finished taking pics my first clutch of bull snakes to hatch out this season. My group of Quadruple hets for Patternless/Speckled, White-side, Axanthic, and "Stillwater" Hypo produced a couple of these unique looking bulls. These are the same group of animals that produced some of the animals in one of those "reptile" magazines earlier this year.

I'm not sure if I'm the first to produce these but I know that these are not too common. One of my females produced 2 from the first clutch then the other female produced another (clutch still in shed cycle). I love the ruby eyes and the lavender brown colors that transitions to a burnt orange and back to the lavender brown bordering the blotches. The "Stillwater" Hypo influence definitely made it look different than the the other White-sided Hypo (Ghost) Bulls in the hobby. Gotta love the multi-hets! Hope you guys enjoy the pics.

I would not have thought this cross would be so distinctive. Very nice!

I never thought it would look the way it does. In fact, the eye color really surprised me the most since Stillwater hypos does not have any ruby eyes. Thanks.
