Ummm... more babies!

waspinator421 Aug 16, 2011 01:47 AM

Today I found another litter from a female I wasn't expecting so soon. This was a first timer, and had a small litter of 9, with no slugs or stills. These babies are HUGE! I weighed a good portion of the litter and many were 40 grams, and one was 42 grams! 4.4 ratio for sure, and one still had some sac leftovers so I didn't want to mess with it too much, though I think its a girl.

Again, sorry for the blurry pics. I'm still learning my new camera, and this one doesn't always flash when I want it to... ergo blurry indoor pics.

This is another mainly normal litter. A couple were pretty light, so have good potential.

I also got a video of the last baby breaking through its sac. I will post the video of it once I get it uploaded on the net.

Still waiting on the two girls I thought for sure would go first. Another girl has gone on the move as well, so maybe she will drop soon!

Congrats on more babies, they look like nice normals. Nothing wrong with that at all, IMO normals have the best color.

Still waiting in Ginger but she is moving around a little in the last 24 hours. Have not checked in an hour or two - guess where I'm going after I press post message!!

Thanks Dave! Yeah pretty much normal but one or two are somewhat expressing a trait that I am trying to breed for, so there may be a keeper in there!

Sheesh, triple congrats then! It's an eventful week for you so far.

Was this third litter the Hypo/Pearl pairing?

waspinator421 Aug 16, 2011 03:23 PM

Actually no it wasn't! It was a Pearl male bred to a female with fat crescents. Still waiting on the two girls bred to the hypo male.... these girls are really throwing me for a loop!

Hmm interesting. I look forward to seeing pics of them in the future. The video was pretty cool, too, thanks for sharing that.
