smallest eastern hatchling ever seen

hi this is the smallest eastern i have ever hatch out it is half the size of the smallest i ever hatch out it is 2 week old and eating and gaining weight like to know if any other have raised a babies this small to be a adults thanks bruce

Wow looks pretty small - is it smaller than a dime? I have hatched a lot, and I have hatched any box turtles that small - last month I hatched a Hermanns that is smaller than a quarter.

It would be interesting to see if he gets to the same size as a normal easter.

What are they sitting on?

One of the hatchlings here measured only 7/8 of an inch long (carapace length), and has a very healthy appetite, is active, etc., so, so far so good. Others on the forum have had mixed results with "runts": some successful, others not.
