Alterna clutch two

mrkent Aug 16, 2011 06:50 PM

While I am in New Mexico this week, my wife is looking after things at home. Last night she told me that clutch two is starting to pip. Here is the first one out.

Seven to go!

What with the fine efforts of Kent and Dave, the alterna is not in any danger of extinction! LOL!

That is funny Bob! While Kent and I add to the alterna world with our two clutches each, I think the real alterna heros would be Mike Russo or shannon Brown...But, thanks for the great praise...I may be looking to you for help soon, as my youngest son may soon set up a lizard and cricket breeding facility (not together!) At recent San Jose reptile show, he picked up an Argentine Ornate frog (pacman) that loves crickets, and he has taken a strong liking to our fence lizard that we have been keeping for possible scenting. Then he brought home another lizaed monday...Dave.

Any help your son may need having success with fence lizards and crickets, he can count on me. I've got three species of crickets, numerous generations of fence lizards, and for awhile kept Western toads, but those guys ate so much I released them into my front garden, where they are flourishing.

She emailed me today and said another has hatched, and all but one has pipped. More pics later!
