Nope but I know there are a few good caresheets out there. They are pretty simple though. Hot basking area(130-150F), 12-24in of sandy soil (females need deep for nesting), roaches/crickets/small mice, and they will thrive. Get a pair or trio for social interaction and breeding. The monitors will teach you the rest.

Not really any specific Ackie books, but I highly recommend the Savannah monitor book by Bennett and Ravi. It has the most up to date monitor husbandry in print, covering diet, setup, breeding and more.

The captive care would apply to most monitor species, and it is a good basis to learn and work from.

It is now out of print, but we bought Dan Bennett's last copies, so we still have it for sale, in limited numbers.

The two best books on monitors I have read are "Monitors: the Biology of Varanid Lizards" by Kin and Green and "Monitor Lizards: Natural History , Biology, & Husbandry" by Daniel Bennett.

I know Daniel's book is out of print (I bought the last copy years ago). The King and Green book likely is too, but you may be able to find them used somewhere.

There are a number of articles out there as well. I also recommend searching this forum for information as well. There is a lot of good information to be found in the archives!
