Well I think my wife is having too much fun with these hatchlings while I am gone on vacation!

Two more hatched today, and not only is she taking pics, she is naming them for me! Here is what she said:

"Ok – here are pictures of Herman and Alfalfa. Herman is older. When I came home and checked on them, Alfalfa was checking out his new surroundings. He is much calmer than the first two. How can I tell? He didn’t thrash and musk me when I picked him up. Four more heads were exposed before I took the cover off the incubator. It scared them so they pulled back in so only their noses were sticking out."

Aww...the tiny babies have aroused your wife's motherly instincts! Who could not fall in love with such sweet little creatures!

She has always enjoyed it when they hatch. It is her grand-motherly instincts that are being aroused though. We are expecting our first grandchild in February!

Ah, grandmama! Even better! I bet she would bake lizard cookies for these babies...LOL! Congratulations on the expected grandchild!
