this is a trait i've been working with since 2005 from a wild caught male. it seems to be a hypermelinistic trait and is at the very least dominant ( possibly co-dominant), i will know for sure this october.

have you tried breeding it to a mojave to see if it's similar the mystic/phantom complex?
i haven't yet, but i do plan on breeding the mystic into it in the near future.
Looks like a dark snake, not really see much difference to a regular.
Could be somewhat close to a mystic may be. With the dorsal being more "gold" and the rest being darker. Similar to a mojave or mystic, but so far you haven'T proved me to jump in the wagon.
sorry but good luck on that project.

love this world, don't hate it.
i assure you, these are not mystics or mojaves! i have bred pastel satin to 2 different satin females, and out of 10 eggs, there were no leucistics, or super mystics in either clutch. i did however, produce several darker snakes, which i think might be the super, like i said, i will know for sure in october, i bred the original satin male to one of his daughters, and she laid 5 eggs.
