Garnet in the sun

Got the little girl out for some photos - and she bit me! Chomped right down on the base of my thumb. She didn't even strike, just came at me like an alligator, lol! I think it has to do with the way she likes to sleep in the light cage. The only other time she's bitten anyone (my husband) was when he was pulling her out of there. It must startle her too much to be awakened by tumbling out of that thing during the day. Ha, I suppose seven years working with snakes and never being bitten was too good to be true! Anyway, here's the little brat showing off how cute she is! Too bad the camera didn't really catch how bright her sheen was today.

We'll try to do some more "glamour" shots of her soon - this was very spur-of-the-moment.

Hey Cynthia, it looks like your little girl is growing up. She's definitely gotten bigger, and you can see a bit more color than when she was a baby. You're taking good care of her. Thanks for keeping us updated with pictures.

Yeah after this last shed she's noticeably more red. I didn't realize the change until I got her out in the sun

Lol I should have gotten a picture of her right after she bit me - she was still giving me the stinkeye and had my blood on her chin!

I need to get her on a scale. I got her in August last year and they claimed she was six months but she looked a little chiquita to be that old. I often wonder if he meant to say six weeks. After this last shed she really colored up nicely.

I'm sporting a nearly perfect bite mark lol! It almost looks like some kind of hoity tattoo.

"Does it bite?"

My answer is -

Not always but anything with a mouth can and does bite.

These are primitive creatures, mostly hardwired instincts, no forethought, just reactions and conditioning.
