Sharp Snow Albino boa?

KeViN_CSV_06 Aug 23, 2011 03:03 PM

I ran across a post on the internet of a man here in California selling a "Sharp snow albino boa" well that's what he called it. I thought that its either a snow or an albino but not both? It has red eyes like an albino and some but not too much red pigment on its tail. I thought it was a high white albino but he assures that it is what he calls it naming it a snow. It is very white and does show the yellowing that adult snows start to have with time. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

If there is any orange or red coloration means it cannot contain the Anery gene.

Therefore without an Anery gene in could not be a Snow.

Actually the only way to know is by looking at it in the
flesh or in pictures.

Yeah that's what I was thinking and I told him, he said he wasn't sure where I was getting my information from but that it was incorrect. That's why I came on here to get some insight as well. He at first sent me a link to see some pictures because he wasn't home so he sent me to a Craigslist ad that he put up. I'll post it on the bottom so you can see some pictures. He later on sent me others so take a look at these first and if you need more ill try getting them for you. Here is the link:

That is definitely not a snow boa. That looks like a not very appealing sharp albino at best. In our opinion. Hard to say cause the pics suck. The head kind of looks like the orange sharps have, but for an adult, very low end Sharp if it is one. Again, just our opinion.

Maybe Ruben will have a second to show what Sharp albinos are supposed to look like. I know there are other forum members as well on here that have unreal Sharps, maybe they can chime in and show you what a nice one looks like. It's all about selective breeding, which means best of the best right.

I'm not sure if you want closer and more detailed pictures also. If you do you cab email me if it isn't much trouble and I could send them to you. I was going to post them on here but I am using my phone, so I would have to download them, resize them, download them on here, and finally post them up. He did send me quite a number of pictures.

Yeah thanks for agreeing. That's exactly what I told him and he denied it and said that "Sharp snow albino" boas do which I didn't agree with so I wanted other peoples feedback on that. Thanks again

That is absolutely not a sharp snow. Like others said they don't have red eyes. Plus, there is no way that is a snow with all that red in the tail. I'm not a pro at this, but I can honestly 100% say that is not a snow and this guy is just trying to screw you over, don't fall for it.
