What the Heck??!!??!

Heather Oct 01, 2003 12:47 PM

A couple weeks ago I posted about my CRB escaping. I'm happy to report that I found him later that day (Thanks to my kitties!!! ). But since then, He hasn't eatten!! I take Him out (He's gotten more aggressive.... No biting but some SERIOUS hissing!) and Put him in his feeding box. I offer him his rat and.... nothing.... He ignores it and tries to get out of His box! Is he fasting cause of the season change? Or is it because He's pissed off about being caught? Can he remember that far back? I'm a little confused..... To say the least.... What's the deal??? Why won't He eat??

Heather,
. At age two he probably is mature and has gone off feed for breeding season. Sometimes they go completely off feed and sometimes they will eat occasionally during the cooler months. He may have become more active as soon as he thought about breeding season and that may be why he is restless. My male Rainbows become more active and explore their cages more as soon as it starts getting cool. If yours is near full size he will require much less food than he has needed while growing.
