Conants Mil Hatchlings

AllenSheehan Aug 28, 2011 10:38 AM

My Conants Milks hatched this weekend. I have a 5 in this clutch and five more in a clutch due in a week or so. These are some rather large hatchlings given the size of the 40" mothers. They are all between 20-24 grams a piece. I am excited about these so I wanted to share. I also have to thank Shannon Brown for making his male available to me.

Thanks
Allen

Doug, The male he is useing is a un-related animal from every other conanti in the hobby.
He is a real cool looking orange phase from Chilpancingo Guerrero. The female I sent him on loan is ofcoarse the peter vise line and you know all about that.

Yea the male is a very cool little guy. I was really wanting to see a few tangerine offspring. Maybe in the second clutch. My third female never became gravid. Perhaps she is to small or to young. Maybe she will go next year. At any rate I am very happy with them.

Thanks for the story on that locale Shannon. That locale specimen is very similar to the holotype in Markel's as you know.

Awesome Allen! I'm hoping to pick up some Conant's this year to add to my collection of milks. That male of Shannon's is a screamer, I hope you get some tangerine colors down the line.
