Anyone working with prairie kings?

KcTrader Aug 30, 2011 05:17 PM

Have there been any new patterns or morphs found other than albino and hypo? I haven't seen any at shows and only posted once or twice in the past few years.

Mark , I just emailed you about these.

Jimmy, I have small group of these Hypo's , I used to produce solid striped albinos back in the 90's and people would snap them up at my table at the National show in Orlando. What I would do to have some now! Those stripers are pretty hard to come by. I have three hypo babies from these this year, and an albino, also from these. My buddy here in ATL produced them and sold the whole group to me.

We all have opinions, and I'll share mine. I think the hypos are one of the nicest looking kingsnake morphs out there, I think albinos are one of the nicest looking kingsnake albinos, and I think Prairies are one of the best behaved kingsnakes one could keep. I would snatch them up (amels or hypos) if I saw them. Just never see them. Where did all those amel PKs go from years ago? Used to be common. And when they were, of course I didn't get them.

I had the same problem last year with my tricolor hogs. Then this year didnt even hatch enough for what everyone wants. This is usually how life usually goes.Feast or Famine. Lol.

Flint, great looking Hypo. I have always wondered why they never became more popular. I had a pair of het amel yrs back, and have been looking for some the past few yrs. I am more of a tricolor addict but, those prairies have always had some appeal to me.

Thanks for sharing the photo!
