We had two beardies given to us. They are in good health a little skinny, with stubby tails. One male and one female. Both ferocious appetites. The mail is tiny, but wants to mate with everything in sight. His beard is constantly black and he loves to heaed bob, so this earned him his own cage. Anyway, my question is both of them are pretty dirty. The have black "stuff" embedded at the base and tips of the tail, chins and on their feet. What is the best way to clean them? I have tried bathing them in warm water (I have not encountered this before because we have always bathed our guys at least every other day so they don't get "crusty"
and gently scrubbing the spots with my fingers. Is it safe to use some kind of soft bristled brush and some baby shampoo on the spots? Or is their a reptile shampoo I should use?
