2nd shed, when should I expect it?

neoman1959 Sep 05, 2011 07:03 PM

I produced my first litter of boas,15 live and 2 slugs, on 6/30/11. They all shed within the first 8-10 days. When I read other people talking about their babies and how much they have eaten and shed, I get the impression that mine are behind in this process. They have all eaten 4-6 times and otherwise appear to be doing fine. Am I just a nervous parent waiting for my childs first steps. Thanks for any help.

I would worry about if they're eating and growing well, your golden! I would say typically about 8 to 10 weeks after there first shed, but it can be longer!

Al, thanks for the knowledge. This is Carlton that purchased the 08 male sunglow from you about 18 months ago. He is doing great, close to 5ft. I plan on putting him with a 07 female genetic stripe, 100% het albino (kahl)this season. As soon as i get a new camera I will post pictures. It is nice to know that my first investment was purchased from someone that is willing to share his knowledge. Thanks again.
