you hatched them on just newsprint???
congrats! nice looking baby.
lucas, i have used paper as a substrate for many years now. i got the idea from an indigo breeder who used to use damp towels. it doesn't really matter what the eggs are on but the humidity surrounding them is what counts. here's a pic of some baby bulls hatching on paper towels back in 06......

thats good to know. i am sure that this helps reduce the chance of mold.
Now, who was that crazy indigo breeder that used damp towels?
What a crazy idea.
btw...I like white t-shirts even better than towels.
probably the same crazy indigo breeder who wanted to handle 'psycho b*tch' even though he was given ample warning of what would surely follow.lol!

That was a fun day.
I miss my big ol mean yt's.
I named one of my females "lady evil"

I second that emotion! My baby bulls ate right out of the egg, too. A pleasant change from getting my baby pyros started.
That is a beautiful baby you have there! What does the rest of the clutch look like?

Keeping cats allows man to cohabitate with tigers. Keeping reptiles allows man to cohabitate with dinosaurs.
bob, the rest of the clutch pretty much all look the same. i'm a little disppointed that they didn't carry more of the black saddle edging that their mother has. maybe it'll become more apparent as they grow......
