Cheri...... (plus question for everyone)

I was curious, do you use parazap?

Who exactly here uses it and has it worked for you? If you could share your experiences that would be great Thanks, Lindsay

In the past few years that I had beardies before I even heard about Parazap, I was constantly taking fecal samples to the vet and getting more Albon prescribed. Coccidia was a real problem that never seemed to go away for very long. I think crickets had something to do with it. Now I rarely feed crickets and I give Parazap as directed. The last time one of my beardies has any parasites was before I started using Parazap. It must work. You've got my vote.

I have lost the directions for making tea. Could someone provide. Also what dosage should be given to 4 month old juvies. Thanks

Directions for use:
The plants used in ParaZap have been used for thousands of years to rid the body of parasites with out fear of side effects or overdosing. Because ParaZap is all natural and not a drug, your pet will not suffer during its use. ParaZap is made from mild ingredients that are good for your pet; not harsh, dangerous chemicals as other parasite formulas. ParaZap will also help if your pet is lethargic, slow to grow, etc. The tea should be made fresh each day. Discard unused tea after 24 hours.
Lizards, geckos, iguanas, etc: Bring 2/3 C. of water to boil. Stir in rounded tsp. of ParaZap. Allow to cool. Most of the solids will sink to the bottom. Pour off the liquid. Administer tea with eyedropper so you can gauge how much is being consumed. (ex. 3cc or more for a lizard the size of an adult bearded dragon.) Offer ParaZap twice a day, morning and night.

Important Notes:
Remember! ParaZap is not magical fairy dust and one sip won’t do the job. A continuous flow must be given. It is a little work to do it right, but your pets health is so worth it.

If your pet has parasites, continue regimen for 2 weeks. If using for preventative measures give 5-10 consecutive days each month

Here are the directions for lizards.

but not on a contiunal bases wit hall dragons. We have use it when we get in rescues and they have minimal amounts, but we can see the coccidia is affecting their health or food intake. Rather than treat them right away with albon or other meds we try a mad cleaning routine and the parazap for two weeks. this has always lowered or rid the dragons of them.
Then we keep up the 5 days a month routine with them until they go to new homes.

Or permanent colony I did use it last year regularly, but they have been clean for so long now, I only would use it if we started seeing a problem again, and we have not had coccida in them for two years or in any babies we raised, inclduing ones that went to new homes at 5-7 months.

I was thinking of giving it a try and after hearing the replies so far I probably will

PS. Cheri remember the babies I kept this year, Pinky, Shortcake and Junior? Shortcake has an evil side! She is the one we kept last minute before packing them up and a month or so after being in the cage by herself she started attacking us when we went near or in her cage!LOL She is healthy, active, eats great, etc. She is just one CRAZY dragon! She will go out of her way to try and bite us! WOW. I am hoping she grows out of it

I have no idea what causes this in some dragons, I had never seen it til one I got a few months ago. He was 3 months old then and fine when I bought him, then turned into the demon seed when I got him home.... he always puffs up and hisses at me and Axe when we come near him.... he would not eat for a week, now he eats and opens his mouth each time I come near him( we pop a cricket or salad in his mouth now.. figure he might as well eat while bing a little stinker... we are using the wait til he is tired routine at night and picking him up and laying on the bed with him, he relaxes and goes to sleep... then the next day back to acting like he is BIG and BAD..... I have no clue!

Sounds just like shortcake. Except when shortcake opens her mouth we use leafy greens!hehe

I have no clue why she developed this new behavior. She didnt hatch like this, nor did she display this type of personality the first month or two. Weird!

Tracey Oct 01, 2003 06:04 PM

I have used it for 2 plus years now.....less runts in hatchling groups......no coccidia at all since using it.....I treat all new reptiles coming in as if they have parasites...

parazap is an all natural wormer.. acidophiliz is a digestive tract conditioner, a pro biotic that replaces good bacteria in the digestive system.
