I was just wondering if slate tiles were safe for my new kingsnake. Right now I'm using Aspen chips but in one corner of the tank I have some slate tiles(for decoration really). I just want to make sure it's not toxic or anything.

Just make sure to disinfect them once in a while like you would your water bowsl. Especially if they deficate on them.
