Rozy the Bull Snake Outdoor Shot

pyromaniac Sep 11, 2011 04:51 PM

On the front porch on an overcast day. She is in a gallon jar, for perspective. She just ate so I didn't want to make her move off her tail. Her colors are getting better after each shed. She doesn't look like either parent or grand parents. She is very tame and has become my favorite snake.

Very nice looking bull! Almost a hypo. Probably from Stillwater linage somewhere along the line.

Her grandfather is a golden hypo Stillwater and her grandmother is a Kingsville red. She is more colorful than her Stillwater grandfather, though.

Vibrant critter. Do you think she will look better with age?

if she has red in her, she probably will get better with age. she looks great! wonder if she will look like my stillwater X kingsville's

Here are her parents at about two months old.

Father

Mother

She has a bright golden head unlike anything I have seen in any others. Homegrown Herps had some that looked sort of like her but he seems to have retired. Too bad; I would have liked to get a mate for her from him.

Ahnuld was produced by HGH in 2008. He had a clutch of Kingsville's available in 2009 as well but not in 2010 and his site is down this year. Too bad, he produced some very fine Pits...

Wish HGH was still happening. I almost got some bull babies from him in 09 but couldn't quite afford them at the time.

Now I have two female bulls, Rozy and her mother Zoey, that in the future might like a date with Ahnuld.

Thanks, Jason! That means a lot coming from you, as you have an awesome collection.

I sure do hope she keeps the saffron and cinnamon dusting. She seems to glow in any light.

Thanks!
For sure she will be my top photographic subject, even beating out my big pyro Zunchara.

Zunchara, for those unfamiliar with her.

Rozy is also continuing to outstrip her four brothers in growth. Maybe she will get as big as Pit_Fan's Ahnuld!

Maybe she is a new thing? I have not seen any other snakes that look like her, although some hypos come close.
