BABIES!!!!!!

Jeff Clark Sep 13, 2011 12:38 PM

I had a litter of Peruvian locale Brazilian Rainbows last night. There were 12 healthy babies, a deformed one that did not survive and one fullterm stillborn. I shot these photos, one without flash and one with right after she had delivered the deformed baby. The deformed baby was large but still had lots of unabsorbed yolk. There were two good babies that had already been delivered and were out of the nest box before I discovered that she was laying. She delivered ten live healthy ones in less than three minutes after I shot these photos. The stillborn was delivered several hours later.
