The mother hatched out normal and started turning yellow with each shed........Now she is totally yellow except her head.....And you can see the yellow speckling under the overall yellow coloration........
I've held back 7 amels (I hatched 10 amels out of 11 eggs).....The Wild Caught male must have been Het for amel and I had GREAT odds or the female had a parthenogenetic clutch.....I dunno....LOL
The one HET offspring is classic Holbrooki...these amels have the Splendida influence from the Refugio County male. Refugio county is at the VERY most southern tip of Holbrooki Range on the Texas Coast.........There are Splendida phenotypes found in Refugio county......as well as holbrooki phenotypes like the sire to the amels.........Weird, huh?......lol
