new acquisitions - conanti

ncstateherps Sep 14, 2011 04:18 PM

Just received a trio of L.t.conanti from Jeff Hardwick - these are such cool snakes, can't wait to get this project going. I may even have to get in line and grab an offspring from Shannon's tangerine male to see what happens

Thanks again Jeff!!

Here's the yearling female

Thanks to bwaffa for the quick pix.

Very nice score. How heavy does the black tipping get on the red as adults? Does it stay the same as in the photos?

From the photos of the adults I've seen they to tip up a bit but have a nice dark red coloration. Check out the pictures on Shannon's site - I imagine (or hope at least) that these will look similar. These are also Acapulco, MX locality.

Very cool!,.......it's great to see some of the less commonly seen milk subspecies being worked with!..

Thanks Doug - I parted out all of my hondurensis morphs to begin working with a few mexicana complex and other milks. I have 1.1 black milk subadults that originated from Stu Tennyson, these conanti from Mr. Hardwick and I'm going to soon begin searching for a mate to my lone Costa Rican stuarti. Polyz are likely next on the list if room allows, once I move into some bigger digs I'm sure andesiana will follow too.

Sounds like a very worth-while game plan you have. Best of luck with all of those projects.

Thanks for the shout out, Peyton! My amateur photography doesn't do them justice. I'm really glad you were able to get these. Jeff was really an awesome guy to work with!
