What your favorite snake?

Bluerosy Sep 15, 2011 10:16 AM

What is your favorite type of snake?

Obviously if the house was burning down you would run and grab the $20,000 Ball python. But I don't mean most valuable. With value aside , what is your favorote?

And i thi nk we all know each other favorite kingsnake by now.

So what is your favorite snake to keep?

Mine is a big fat female coastal rosy boa.

I'm just getting back into king snakes and bought my first pair of Brooks from Rainer, thanks Rainer they are awesome, my favorite snakes are the true red tail boas, here are a few pics of my boas.

I would keep some Boa's if they didn't get so big. I know there are some smaller ones. I may get some down the road?

Thanks, the first 4 pics are Peruvians and the rest all Surinames.

DMong Sep 17, 2011 01:55 PM

Ah, okay. Yes, As you know, many times the Bolivian's don't always have the very thin saddles, or "bat wings" that many can display, yet many Surinams can also display the very oval circles with more ""bat wing" type saddles. This Bolivian looks very similar to alot of Suriname boas as well. Granted though, the tails and the burgundy coloration on them are MUCH longer in the Suriname's, thus their other common name "Short Tail" boas(B.c.amarali)..LOL!

Those are some super-sweet, very clean animals you posted man. Those are absolute smokers in anyone's book!. The yellows there in those Peruvian's are just incredible!!. Those have to be one of my all-time favorite locale variants..
