2011 Male Kankakee

Pit_fan Sep 17, 2011 08:51 AM

Despite all of my rhetoric to the contrary, I made room for more snakes. This is a 2011 hatchling male Kankakee bull that I picked up from John Skager about a week ago. High contrast markings and nice facials...

I just picked up two more 2011 Kankakees yesterday (male and female clutchmates) courtesy of John Ginter. Will post some pics of them soon. Can't keep all three but looking for the best of the three to keep long term. Will have to find homes for the other two eventually. Getting all three acclimated and established on feed for now. Thanks fer stoppin by...

Nice snake.. I have bought those from Skagger before and have been very impressed... he told me though, that they are from the Ill side of the Kankakee prairie, making them Newton County Ill Bulls.

Newton County is in Indiana. From Illinois they'd probably be either Kankakee or Iroquois County.

Do you still have them? If so, could you post some photos of yours? This guy has an interesting pattern/color combination and I would love to see some pics of adults of this type. Would that not be Newton Co., IN rather than IL?

Thanks,

Jim

Yeah, I can definitely see the linage there. Very nice, high contrast pattern, lots of black with nearly maroon mids. This little Bull should be a fun experience as it matures. He's along way from Indiana though...
