I found this in the garden today. It's common name: the Black-and-Yellow Garden Spider. Well duh!

Nice. My sister just found one in her yard last week. I haven't seen one in awhile. Here's one I found in California in 2006:

That is a great shot! It's pattern looks like a scowling monster!

My not so great shot of a white face hornet killing a yellow jacket. Note the severed head! LOL! I love white face hornets. Spiders, too.
