2011 Thayeri Keeper

Beaker30 Sep 18, 2011 09:07 PM

This little one is out of my latest clutch ever. The female laid on July 23. This one hatched after 55 days. I love how the saddles have erasures and are restricted to the dorsal surface, and the cool alternates down the side. The yellow is pretty bright. The pics were taken outside under cloud cover. And you can see a bit of orange blush directly behind the head.

No sibs. It was from a clutch of 7. 3 were slugs, I broke two trying to separate them, and the other good one went bad in the incubator. This little one is the lone survivor. The pics are pre-shed also.

Nice one Craig....Reminds me a little of the girl I held back last year except she didn't have the "high" saddles like your Keeper........

Very attractive. I like how the head is gray and the rest so colorful.

Minus the grey head I hatched one very similar about 15 years back. The capacity to produce unique pattern and color variations is the thing I like most about thayeri. That plus they are the perfect size and disposition for a pet snake.

Great looking snake! Congrats. I really like the reduced saddles and the grey head.
