I was lucky enough to work a trade earlier this month for this adorable Hypo Cinny baby girl. I just love her to pieces. Her name is Myrtle.

She was produced by my friends Mark and Angela, and was a surprise. They didn't know that the parents were het for Hypo until this little darling hatched out.

She has a TON of personality. Awesome eater, switched from live to f/t on just her 2nd meal with no hesitation. She hisses and strikes like mad when first picked up (she inherited that part of her personality from her cinny mom, just ask Mark...) She's never actually bitten me and I personally adore stikey babies as they are always the best eaters so she can strike to her heart's content. Once she's out for a bit she switches gears and goes into exploring mode and just wants to crawl around checking everything out. Never once saw her ball up or act shy. She's always ready to take on the world.

She shed yesterday so I took a few new pics of her all freshly shed.

I also took a picture of her with one of the normal babies I hatched out this year just for comparison.

One thought is that I have a male Hypo Pastel and a male Honeybee. I will be pairing both boys with my female Hypo Pastel this year in hopes of producing either a Hypo Super Pastel male or a Humblebee male to hold back that might make a nice future mate for her. I will also be keeping my eyes on the KS classifieds over the next year or two to see if I come across a Hypo cross male who would work well with her. Keeping options open. Definitely want to pair her with a Visual Hypo male who is also a secondary morph at the very least.

I had to grin at your story because it reminds me so much of this girl I hatched this year:

I hatched her mom as a 50% hypo and bought her cinnamon 50% het hypo dad. Both possible het hypos were picked based on their light color as an indicator of het hypo. My hypo cinnamon girl even has the same personality as yours. Unfortunately I really hate that in ball pythons (seems to me to go against the generally nice personality that sets ball pythons apart from many other snakes) but I can't bring myself to cull her and her equally bad tempered mom from my modest collection due to their genetic potential. I'm hoping to pick up a hypo mojave male next year for the little hypo cinnamon girl to make hypo savannah’s and hope I eventually get a nice one to replace her.

How pretty! I love balls with that little extra attitude when they are babies. All the ones that were this way as babies ate great for me, and with alot of snuggling they have all grown into very sweet snakes and usually stop the striking behavior by the time they are a year old. Hypo Savannahs sounds like an interesting project to work towards!

Congratulations she is gorgeous!!!! Must admit my hypo cinny is one of my favorite snakes - even tho she is a pain in the ass mouser.

Mark shared with me everything leading up to her surprise creation. I love that snake, nicest Hypo Cinny I can recall ever seeing. Good luck with her, she's just awesome.
