eggs except not the eggs your thinkin of

i read that corn snakes ate eggs out of trees from small bird like woodpeckers. i was thinking bout making a small custom landscape background out of wood and then like a tree that goes up connected to it with a burrow and an artificial nest in it. petsmarts finches lay eggs all the time and they aren't aloud to sale them so they give them to my friend to feed his baby Argos monitor. i was thinking like putting the eggs in the nest as a potential meal.

I think you'd have a pretty good chance of that working. I've seen pix of people feeding chicken eggs to obsoleta. I'd wash the eggs first. They'd be warmer if you washed them in warm/hot water, too, and that might facilitate getting a feeding response.
