yes....I had alot of water in my yard....it then came into the basement....alot...like 3 inches an hour for the first day then 2 inches then one inch an hour....it took 4 days to stop coming....it rained just the one day....and it was ugly....the finality of it was when the Fire Dept actually pumped out my yard....with a 5 inch hose....2 foot of water....(150 x 50 foot lake...)...I should have sold the house as "Lakeside Property" that day, but didn't.....could have sold it for three times value...LOL....I had hamster buckets floating all over...rats under water...gerbil's lab cages floating all over...some tipped some were just like boats....wood chips,corn,oats,sunflower seed dog food,etc etc ..all over the place from the hamster buckets....so I had to babysit the pumps for 4 days due to clogging with stuff.....no sleep first night and maybe 3 hours second night...turn pumps on every hour....it was really bad rain, a stupid neighbor that took away a dirt burm and didn't use the alley anyways...and the other totally retarded piece of crap neighbor that actually put a sheet of metal over the drain pipe in the alley, and covered it all with dirt...real moron...Thanxx Charlie!!!...sue him yet huh...

so....anyways.....I quit....140 balls have left already...not much actually left....can't hardly get the colubrids out of here,....noone has any money....go figure....not one single mammal here anymore .....some racks are gone , all cages tanks etc etc.......I quit....walls will come down even....!

so thanxx all...I'll still be in here being...me...so don't feel safe ......good luck everyone......I've been feeding and doing rodents for 20 years....I have never been on an actual vacation in my life...I work...that's what I do.....now I am free to actually go out in the woods? fish?snake hunt?.... and go on fungal forays....

What is a fungal foray, a trip downtown on Saturday night?

...fungus hunt, shroom walk, ....a hunt for mushrooms....

right now the Hen Of the woods (Grifola frondosa) are out and about the oak forrests...a choice fungus ....with healing properties...to reboost the immune system....used in pill form and powder for cancer and Aids patients....known also...as Maitake...and sold at area Giant grocery stores...$13.95 a pound...LOL....

also ...aborted Entalomas should be out...good shroom...tasty and heavy...maybe chicken shrooms....bearded tooth, lions mane...honey shorroms(which I do not trust or eat,too many variables)Oysters still out as always in form or another (more than one species)...snow shrooms soon as it gets cooler...(wild enokitake actually)old man's beards...I think it is....some boletes PA is tough for me on boletus)........not sure what else....lots of stuff ...it's been wet....

BE SURE what you will eat....trust few people...if in doubt ..throw it out....I studied for a couple years with a mycological group .....

...yea...I stay away from amanitas,field shrooms, platyfilla,even fawns...the ones that could be something else....even bluits.....(spellings?...been awhile)....

....some fungus is just so cool to find....white worm fungus...jelly caps, jellies, jelly cups, witches butter and orange jelly....suicks.....cauliflower .....all kinds of cool stuff....I forget the really purple ones.....

yea...neighbors suck...I got bad stuff....well....alla round me....like 5 of them are either crazy or lazy or just stupid...some all three....LOL..

I found a Puff ball yesterday the size of a basketball! Got it in the fridge!

...eat it fast before it yellows....
they are ok...not a fan of them actually....it says fry them dry like pancakes...I put butter on it and salt...not that good...I tried King's syrup...not cool either....they were only really good for me if I just used a little cut,fried with other stuff....

...Keep on shrooming...and snake hunting while out there....(more on topic)....and you never know...last year the guy across the street from me...found a dead year old spider ball in his back yard...(cold ,winter or cat?)....weird...

the rain has been crazy... while i cant say i've gone through what you've gone through, i do have $7,000 worth of boat damage due to wiring, batteries, etc going underwater during a day a few weeks back when my bilge burnt out and we got 8.6 inches dumped on us overnight.

yr one of my favorite post-ers jeff... sorry to hear of yr troubles.

I think the cots were the really hot purple ones...there are other purples....

...boat damage...ouch...man...that sucks more than my rains....

I got a boat setting in the driveway now for 7 years....needs new wires...(and now new all kinds of stuff..)....I have to get it running now...I got time...and the Susquehanna now has flathead catfish up to and over 50 pounds here....!!!...yeeeehaaaa.....

maybe use baby balls for bait (on topic?)...,,,,

I am not the only one around here with water trouble that week...
another breeder...2 foot in celler...racks walls and snakes on the loose...another ...right at river...flooded shed and losses also....others worked alot to get ready....alot of houses are gone.....trailers....all kinds of stuff was underwater...I got lucky enough.....just have stupid neighbors....

Sorry to hear about the damage/trouble you were caused. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Good luck with any cleanup you have left with the house. I sincerely hope you're not going to throw the towel in at this point. The snake community, not to mention the snakes themselves, need you around doing what you do! I am really sorry to hear all this. I wish you the best of luck recovering from the disaster. I do hope you keep and bred a few choice BP's and keep frequenting the forum here. Honestly, I don't know where you've found the stamina to keep coming here and telling the truth to people that don't want to hear it all these years! I applaud your efforts, hope you keep popping in here, and wish you all the best!
