Hi; I recently acquired a pair of PHT's and just put them in their perminant home, a vertical 4.5'h x 2.5'w x 2.5'd Neodesha. It has 240 1/2in holes in the sides for ventilation, as well as a 12in top vent. I presently have a 75watt black bulb in the top, but my ambient temps in both the room, as well as the cage are only in the 75-77 degree range. They can bask to get warmer, but everything I've seen says ambient temps of 86 degrees.

I'm looking for suggestions as to the best way to heat this cage, as all of my other setups are horizontal, or for turtles, so I'm a bit unfarmiliar with getting this perfect.

I need to be carefull as to raising the basking light temps, as there are wicker baskets in the general area, so I'm wondering if a heat pad mounted on the side might help? Or maybe a ceramic emitter?

Thank!
