Leucistic rainbow boa

tracehardin Sep 25, 2011 05:00 PM

Anyone else see the leucistic rainbow boa ad pop up on faunaclassifieds? I was unaware that this morph even existed. Any insight guys? http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273698&highlight=rainbow

Ian Gniazdowski started the line from a single Colombian rainbow boa that the previous owner could not get to breed. Literally only a handfull of people have them, myself included.

Wow, thanks for that link! Seems like leucies are popping up everywhere these days. I remember a discussion earlier in this forum about how only the darker colors on snakes will show any iridescence, and it seems to hold true for these guys based on the photos. I'm actually surprised that the seller isn't asking more for them.

"Seems like leucies are popping up everywhere these days." I assume you mean different leucistic species, not leucistic rainbow boas as they are still few and far between.
