How much is this boa worth?

anthonysousain Sep 25, 2011 07:08 PM

I picked up this 2011 female Guyana circleback reverse stripe in a trade and I honestly have no idea of it's trade value, retail value or wholesale value. I would love some opinions. I have tried contacting several other breeders and no one can give me an answer of it's relative worth. I can send pictures via text messaging. Please feel free to contact me at 317-517-7139. Thanks for the help,
Anthony

In my opinion:
Circleback and reverse stripe are names given to physical characteristics to describe the pattern of the saddles and the tail. However, these physical characteristics are not tied to a genetics. It is only a snake with a nice pattern. Plus, the Guyana BCC don't yet have popular morphs. If it is a pure BCC, (has a larger head, taller body etc.) it's probably worth 200-350.

Agreed..... but it would be better to see pics.... I could tell you what I would personally pay for it..... THe prices are way down on BCC..... THe market just got flooded with high quality low price babies..... So really unless it is an outstanding patterned bcc, with better than average color, I dont see the whole circleback reverse stripe thing increasing your value much... those are common traits in some Guyana populations and they arent traits that you can prove out....

FOr the most part babies are worth more than adults.... unless they come from a reputable breeder that knows how to cycle them..... because if the boas werent cycled properly their whole lives they could be screwed up for breeding forever.....
