02 Tiger retic het for albino 1.0 LOST!!!!! Please help

Sgt. G. Oct 01, 2003 09:55 PM

I have been in Iraq for almost a year and left my retics in the care of my wife. During my deployment she managed to lose my 6' tiger retic male 100% het for albino from Mike Wilbanks. I have been home for about a week and can't find him anywhere, and I am pretty good at finding retics. He has been lost since July and now I'm getting really worried. Any suggestions on finding him would be greatly appreciated.

Man,. I am SO sorry to hear this. Tear the place apart. Look especially behind built in appliances, such as stoves, dishwashers, dryers, etc. If your house is on a raised foundation, search every square inch under the house and look for any recesses or holes leading into deeper places. He's been gone for 2 to 3 months, but don't lose hope. I once lost a 15 foot retic out of an open window back in the mid 80's and after nearly a year he was found in my neighbor's garage. He had been run over too. He had two 8 inch scars where his belly had been split open and then had healed together at odd angles that were 6 feet apart that could olny be from car tires as he crossed a street. I had put out a reward and alerted the neighborhood when it first happened. This was remembered when he was found a year later and the cops came and got me when they were called innitially. I simply went and grabbed my very underweight snake and thanked everyone and got him inside. Fortunately for me back then it wasn't such a big deal as it would be these days. But the whole point is,. don't give up hope. Another time I found a female boa on top of my built in dishwasher over a year after she had gotten out of her cage. I smelled her feces one day as I entered the kitchen. I knew it could only be her and I tore apart the kitchen counters and found her. This was the same year as the retic. I don't have escapees these days. Oh,. and lastly,. when I was a kid in the 70's I lost a 5 foot retic and found him a few weeks later going back under my house when he saw me coming out my door.

I hope this helps. By the way, I salute you for being one of the soldiers of the armed forces that protect all of our freedoms here in this wonderful country. Thank you. I hope your stay there in Iraq wasn't too bad.
