2011 Keepers

mack1time Sep 28, 2011 02:36 PM

I have nearly sold off my 3 2011 litters. I have a few remaining for sale but decided on my keepers and moved them to their permanent homes till adulthood. I had these 3 picked out from DAY 1.

These first two are both Jungles 100% het Albino Females. I bred my Jeremy Stone 2007 Jungle 66% poss het female trying to prove her out with my Albino male and she did not have the albino gene. Regardless I kept these. They are 5 months old and looking spectacular

Clio

Callisto

Lastly I kept this guy cause I couldn't part with him. Just a plain jane "Normal" 66% poss het Anery. He has some amazing pinks to him and I'd love to see him grow up here. Probably never breed him and he will be more of a pet here but I just love his pastel tones.

what type of lighting are you using for the boas perched on the skull....?? I love how consistent it is.

I use a black cloth material with the skull perched higher up using a black candle so that the snake stays up and less curious.

I then use my Macro Flash ring and handhold it rather then mount it to the lens for the optimal lighting. This can take many test shots and playing around with the settings till I get the actual color I see before me. I try to keep the WB and aperture as consistent as possible as these "skull" pictures are the ones I use on my site's collection page to show all the morphs we here are working with

A ring light is hard to beat! I've been playing around with one recently and really like it.

Thanks again.

Beautiful keepers and in my opinion having a mature fem Jungle het for nothing
could be a huge asset if you decide become involved
in other recessive trait projects.

If you get yourself a male VPI, BWC, Russian T, or Prodigy
breeding them to her will be advantageous.
