Things have been a little slow around here so I figured I'd post some pics of this pair I have. I really hope they breed next spring, you don't see too many of these in the hobby. These are Jefferson Parish, LA locality.

Very cool Dave. You are right because I have not seen many photos of amaura. I like the dark black head for contrast on the second animal. What is their normal adult size?

Hey Joe,

That female I posted is the largest one I have seen from this locality out of a handful of males and females that I saw. She's maybe 2 feet? they don't get huge that's for sure!!

I had one LA milk like 10 years ago...can't do much with one...and at the time...I sold all the little stuff to get bigger baby making stuff anyways.......(gentilis,amaura,elapsoides,and quatro kings.....yea...integraded....).....

cool little critters...and you only see one here and one there at times....wild usually....

thanks - I hope to produce some babies this spring. they didn't go for me last year, I am thinking the male was too small. It would be nice to have some locality amaura more common in the hobby.
