Down by the River....part 2...

BNixon Oct 02, 2011 05:11 PM

I was able to take some of the smaller boas down to the stream today and snap a few more pics...my camera was near death however so I wasnt able to get as many as I would have liked and didnt bring a few animals which I will likely bring down next weekend.

Sucks how the sun washes out some of the colors on a few of these boas!

Pam

T Jungle Girl

Them hanging out after their pics were taken to shows the huge color difference Really hate how it washed out alot of that pink though!

(These ones with the cell)

Took the SJ out who has been doing great since I have had him. He does seem to have issues with shedding however and needs to be left in a moist tub to get it all off aside from that hes an awesome boa and I love his look!

A gorgeous BWC girl I produced last year shes not nearly the size of my male who I will get pics of out and about next weekend but she was enjoying her moments crawling about as well!

Probably the only pics of the Hytec I have where she isnt hissing or trying to get me...something about the river must have put her at piece...atleast for a little bit!

Also took this Hypo Poss Roswell Laddertail from Jeff Carr down today for some pics...this guy has to be a RLT comparing it to the other siblings and that boxed look on his tail...I am curious though to see how the non hypo offspring from him will look...only time will tell...hes loaded with color though!

Hopefully next time around my buddy will come its alot easier to get photos of these guys with someone else around to hand the camera while I get them positioned on a rock but sometimes these things dont sit still! The larger ones make this process a whole lot easier!

I hope you guys enjoyed the pics and are having a fantastic weekend!

...thats twice, that you've taken your CB boas to wild water to take pics.....you have very nice boas!....but why risk the health of your investment,.... as that water and those wet rocks are NOT sterile!!!!!...especially in SoCal!!!!!...don't believe me, I will come to where ever you want to take pics and test the water and take samples for free swimming issues you can't see with your eyes!!!just saying!!!!!-Charlie

Guess what I'll be taking them there again to take pics of other boas. For Christs sake these things are like the kid from bubble boy. Do you think in the wild they worry or are grossly affected by the water or rocks from a stream they sit on.

VERY UNLIKELY.

I like giving my animals a bit of room to stretch and have some quality of life.

If I feel like taking an 8000 animal outside and putting it on a rock to showcase the amazing looks I will do so.

Tell you what I enjoy my boas you enjoy yours.

testy Brandon!....the difference is, they are not wild boas! Yes, you can do what you want with your boas...just surprised...as in all my years, I've never seen anyone do that with a high dollar investment without a care or knowledge of the risk!-Charlie

Thanks appreciate the positive comment.

I really enjoy letting them get out and cruise around as well. very refreshing to enjoy them outside of the confines of a caging system.
