Advice on choosing an Albino

MikeMurphy Oct 06, 2011 01:39 PM

This is a photo of three female high-contrast albinos from Morton Wright. As you can see, they are all really nice. I'm having a hard time deciding between the three. I'm leaning towards the one with the head closest to the top and body to the left because of the very contrasty face with all the white and the deep orange blotches. But the one closest to the right (with head at top also) has some nice orange blotches too and they are big. Any advice on which might possibly grow up to look the best? I'm assuming the deeper the orange as a baby, the greater the chance of it retaining that orange as an adult. Thanks in advance.

Mike

We recently picked up a HC Albino male from Morton. He's VERY high contrast orange and white with no yellow. The little guy is a rat slaying machine, so hopefully we can get him up to breeding size pretty quick and start working with this line.

I would go with the one with her head at the very top. Second choice would be the one with her head at the bottom.

It all depends on which you like best. Personally the upper left one stands out as the clear winner for me. However, I've never cared for the banded looked the right one has. Plus I prefer the head pattern of the left one.

...Morton owns them and you are buying one from him?

if this is correct...???

screw around a little longer and you won't have to decide...

...they'll be one left...???....

LOL..

I had to....

they are all nice...and you can't tell what they will turn into..

do as I used to all the time....

buy them all and decide in 3 years...???....

.....really.....

If it's that close, pick the best feeder!

Personally I like the one at top left - second choice would be the ones with the head at the bottom - totally depends on what you like tho.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I decided on the one at the top left. Go with your instincts

What male do you have for her? Do you have Albino males? If not, I would skip the Albino project and get Lavender Hets.

I'm getting her more because I've just always wanted her vs. a breeding project. I'll breed her eventually but it's just a morph I want to have. Thanks for the advice though. I'll check that out too
