I posted before when this clutch hatched last month. The clutch was 4 eggs, one egg had Twins, and another Triplets.

The Triplets hatched out very small. Two were good, one had a messed up face and had to be put down. One of the good ones shed then died unexpectedly. So I only have one left. But he (or she) seems to be doing good.

He was 15 grams when he hatched. He's shed. Ate his first meal on Thursday, a live pinkie mouse. I had an extra f/t pink from my feeding last night so put it in with him overnight, not really expecting him to eat it, but he did. He's now up to a whopping 19 grams. I don't know if he's totally out of the woods yet, but I'm sure hoping he keeps doing well.

His (or her) name is Trip. Partly because he was a Triplet, and I'm a Trekkie so it works on that level too.

If I read it right, he shed on is own and then ate. Wow, that is incredible. I had tiny twin albino spiders, they didn't shed for three months and looked kind of wrinkly and not so hot. I assist fed them from the time the other clutch mates shed and ate, until they shed at about three months, when they started feeding on their own. I have a Ivory now in the same condition. He assist feeds easily, and is growing, but no signs of shedding yet, it has been a month.
It gives you a good feeling.

Trip shed at 12 days old, ate first meal of live pinkie on his own (I wasn't even in the room) at 21 days old, then his 2nd meal of f/t pink on his own at 23 days old. He's 25 days old now and looks hungry again But I'll give him another day or two before offering another pinkie, don't want to overwhelm his system.

And a picture taken 2 days before that of all 3 babies in the egg. The one that's out in front out is actually the one who died unexpectedly after she shed. You can just see little Trips face peeking out from deeper in the egg. The 3rd one is tucked in there too. Was a very crowded egg.

Do you have pics of your Twins from when they were tiny? I got twins in this same clutch but will give them a post of their own. One has shed but not eaten, the other has eaten but not shed. Go figure...

Here are the twins, ten months later

Wow, they've grown up so big and pretty and healthy! That really gives me hope on my little guys. On the set of twins from this clutch I really hope the one who ate will shed soon, and the one who shed will eat soon. They are all from my Dinker project. Mom was a Ghana girl hand picked by an experienced breeder for her unique look. The dad of the clutch is her son from a previous breeding. She's not had twins or triplets in any of her previous clutches, this is first time. Still trying to work out what she is. She's going with my Mojave this year.
