Im wondering if i should breed my iguana?Im just wondering i aint though unless the species is extinct.lol.

They're about as endangered as housecats. In fact, feral ones are taking over Florida, where they don't even belong. And the babies are worth something like $5 a piece wholesale. So probably not worth your trouble... Breed monkeytailed skinks instead, they ARE endangered.

I agree with the other reply, please do not breed your iguana. Most people here have rescued iguanas, who are the #1 dumped reptile in the united states. My local humane society has mainly: cats, dogs, rabbits, and iguanas. Here is a page from the iguana den:

I completely agree w/ the other posts on this topic. Do not breed your ig. First off, if you know for a fact that your ig is a female, she can, sadly, die from being gravid (bearing eggs). There is no guarantee that your ig would be able to make it through this ordeal. Please tell me you don't want something like that to happen to your baby. I had my female spayed when she was gravid, and it was expensive, but it also guarantees that she won't become gravid anymore, and she has no possibility of dying from being gravid. Please reconsider. I'm not trying to attack you about this, but I am informing you on the worst possible negative side of this.
