OT - Anyone with a registered domain know of any good hosting sites? (more)

dragonsbynature Oct 02, 2003 01:05 AM

The current company I am hosting our website with is starting to annoy me.. so I am thinking about moving it to another site. Does anyone here know of any good ones that have high monthly transfer limits and high disk storage space.

I'm not looking for free sites that have pop ups and what not. I am looking for a professional hosting provider.

Thanks everyone if you can help.

I just registered my Domain name the other day so I have been looking too. I'm at ground level though. I don't have a clue so if you can check them out & let me know what you think, I would be seriously grateful. lol

Thanks.

I found them on a "Top 15 hosting sites" list. They were #1.

I use http://www.ipowerweb.com

I paid $6.00 per month for 2 years up front and that included the domain name registration. This webserver supported pretty much everything (PHP CGI Perl Front Page Extensions), included a PHP Forum, and really high bandwidth for a site that wasn't too big. I have never had a problem with them and the site has its own control panel as well.

thanks for the info... yea, CGI and Perl is needed... that's always good to have. The control panels are nice too.. do they offer live statistics for your website? How is their speed for you? I hit a couple of sites hosted there and it was slow.. and a few sites loaded well.. but our site is graphic intensive so that is what concerns me the most.

Thanks for the info.

My site does show all of the stats of the site as well. I have never really had a problem with my site being down or being extremely slow. Here is my site and you can see how it runs
